The Atlantic County Division of Public Health reminds residents of the importance of annual wellness visits.

Yearly appointments offer an opportunity to develop a personalized prevention plan based on current health and risk factors.

“The best way to take care of your health is to talk with your primary care physician about health risks, preventative screenings and vaccinations,” stated Kara Janson, Acting Division Director.

Vaccinations can help prevent illness and disease, especially in children who are often more vulnerable to getting sick, while health screenings can provide early detection in adults.

The Division of Public Health offers wellness clinics and screenings for eligible adults and children. More information is available at www.aclink.org/public-health/screenings-clinics.asp or by calling (609) 645-5933.

As of February 1, 2023, Child Health/Immunization clinics and pediatric flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held two Thursdays a month by appointment.

Women’s and Men’s Health Screening clinics will be offered every other Wednesday by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling (609) 645-5933, Monday through Friday.
