Somers Point voters have some decisions to make for who they want as County Commissioner and who they would like to see on City Council in Tuesday’s election.

There are two candidates running for Commissioner-at-Large, Republican incumbent Amy Gatto against Democratic challenger Habib Rehman.

District 1 Democratic incumbent Ernest D. Coursey is vying to retain his seat against Republican candidate Vern Macon.

And in District 4, incumbent Richard Dase is running against Democratic candidate Kathleen Galante.

There are three City Council seats up in Somers Point.

Republican incumbent Sean T. McGuigan is running to retain his Ward 1 seat against Democratic challenger Daniel Myers.

Also in Ward 1, Republican incumbent Richard DePamphilis, who was appointed in February to fill an unexpired one-year term, is running against Democratic challenger Elizabeth “Lisa” Bender. Bender ran unsuccessfully for a seat on Council in the 2021 election.

Republican incumbent Mike Owen will try to retain his Ward 2 seat against Democratic challenger and former Somers Point City Councilman Carl D’Adamo.
