Shore Medical Center is located in Somers Point.

Nurse Jane Diep was selected as Shore Medical Center’s December Guardian Angel for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients, according to a press release.

The Guardian Angel Program was established to enable members of the community to say thank you to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center.

Diep, of Atlantic City, has been a nurse at Shore for 10 years.

She is a dedicated, hardworking and compassionate nurse who gives generously of her time and knowledge to patients and their families, always striving to meet their expectations, the release says.

Elaine Toolsie, nurse manager of the 5th Stainton floor where Diep works, says she has really shined during the pandemic.

“Jane ensures that patients and their families are kept informed and united. She spends a great deal of time talking to patients and their families.”

A grateful patient who made a donation to Shore in Diep’s honor, had this to say about her recently, “Jane has taken care of me many times. She is empathetic and has a huge heart and has always given me great care and you can see her smile behind her mask.”

Diep is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing at Stockton University and enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, walks on the beach and reading.

The Guardian Angel program recognizes anyone who works at Shore Medical Center and makes an impact and difference in patient care or experience.

Guardian Angels are recognized amongst their peers and are presented with a special Guardian Angel pin at Shore Medical Center’s annual pinning ceremony.

If you, a family member or friend would like to honor a Shore Medical Center Guardian Angel, please contact the Shore Medical Center Planned Giving and Development Department at 609-653-3800 or www.GiveToShore.org.
