Atlantic County public health officials reported Friday the deaths of a 59-year-old Atlantic City man and a 66-year-old Pleasantville man from complications of the coronavirus.
Both men had underlying health conditions that put them at higher risk, according to a county press release.
County officials also reported 32 positives among 20 males, ages 14-65 and 12 females, ages 24-82.
Sixteen of the latest reported cases were found in Hammonton, three each in Absecon and Egg Harbor Township, two each in Egg Harbor City, Galloway, Hamilton Township and Pleasantville, and one each in Linwood and Somers Point.
There is a countywide total of 2,885 residents who have tested positive, with 1,443 cleared as recovered, including the addition of Friday’s 45 residents.
To date, there have been 197 county residents who died of COVID-19.
Atlantic County will continue to provide testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, June 30 in Northfield behind the county’s public works yard at Route 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue.
