The Atlantic County Library System’s plan to provide curbside pickup service as of Monday, June 1, has been put on hold by the State Attorney General’s Office until further guidance is issued for the reopening of libraries.

The Atlantic County Library System was one of several in the state that submitted a reopening plan. Its plan began with the availability of curbside service at each of its nine branches, according to a county press release.

The state was concerned with a lack of uniformity among the plans submitted, but has not yet provided recommendations or guidance.

For now, there will be no curbside service. However, patrons may return borrowed items at external book drops beginning Monday.
