Thirty Atlantic County residents were confirmed positive for the coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total countywide number of cases to 581.

No new deaths were reported Friday. There have been 29 deaths in the county attributed to COVID-19, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health.

Friday’s new cases include 14 males, ages 26-83 and 16 females, ages 1-85.

Seven of those residents are from Egg Harbor Township and six each are from Hamilton Township and Hammonton. Somers Point has three additional positive cases, while Pleasantville has two. Absecon, Atlantic City, Buena Borough, Estell Manor, Linwood and Weymouth Township each have one new case.

Atlantic County will provide drive-thru COVID-19 testing on Tuesday, April 28, and Thursday, April 30, by appointment only, for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. The testing will be conducted behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents may make an appointment online at www.aclink.org. In addition to the doctor’s prescription, residents must also provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, as well as the appointment confirmation.

Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so that others will have an opportunity to be tested.
