Shore Medical Center is proud to recognize float team nurse Samantha Hill, RN, as its February 2017 Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients. The Guardian Angel Program was established to enable members of the community to say thank you to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center.

Hill came to shore in January 2016 as a float team nurse, a role that takes her to various floors in the hospital to fill a nursing need. Her coworkers are thrilled when she is assigned to their unit. They describe her as extremely thorough, caring and dedicated to her work.

Luanne McGroarty, BSN, RN-BC, Nurse Manager of the ICU and Telemetry units, says, “Patient feedback about Samantha is always positive. Shore is lucky to have her as part of the organization.”

A family member of a patient Hill treated recently praised her for her exceptional care.

“Samantha is a very astute nurse, who handles herself with such professionalism. It was very reassuring to know that Samantha was assigned to my mother’s care,” the family member said.

A native of Oregon, Hill lives in Mays Landing with her husband, who is in the Coast Guard. The Guardian Angel program recognizes anyone who works at Shore Medical Center and makes an impact and difference in your care. Guardian Angels are recognized amongst their peers and are presented with a special Guardian Angel pin at Shore Medical Center’s annual pinning ceremony. If you, a family member or friend would like to honor a Shore Medical Center Guardian Angel, please contact the Shore Medical Center Foundation at 609-653-3800 or www.GiveToShore.org.
