Somers Point Business Association Presents $400 to The Green Thumb Garden Club during Annual Holiday Party December 6

Somers Point, NJ – December 8, 2016 – The Somers Point Business Association (SPBA) made a $400 donation to the Somers Point Green Thumb Garden Club during its annual Holiday Party December 6 at the Greate Bay Country Club.

The Green Thumb Garden Club of Somers Point was established in 1952 for community beautification and to encourage the protection of natural resources, trees, shrubs and birds.

“We are truly grateful for this generous donation by the SPBA to help support gardening projects throughout Somers Point,” said Rosemary Evans, Green Thumb Garden Club president. The SPBA’s annual Holiday Party also included a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, a presentation of the 2016 Award of Excellence – given to Lois Hirschman Gregory, SPBA secretaryas well as a Toy Drive, where attendees brought in new, unwrapped toys to be distributed to deserving students at local Somers Point Schools. The SPBA is an organization that brings together businesses and professionals interested in the promotion, improvement and advancement of the business climate of Somers Point and in the surrounding areas. The SPBA hosts monthly meetings on relevant and timely business issues.
