A 42-year old Atlantic City man with underlying health conditions is the latest Atlantic County resident to die as a result of COVID-19, according to a county press release.
The Atlantic County Division of Public Health reported his death Friday, along with 24 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of residents who have tested positive to 222 and seven deaths.
Of the 24 confirmed Friday, 14 are males, ages 13-63, and 10 are females, ages 31-91.
They include four each from Egg Harbor Township, Galloway and Hamilton townships.; three from Atlantic City; two each from Hammonton and Weymouth; and one each from Buena, Buena Vista Township, Folsom, Mullica Township and Pleasantville.
Atlantic County will provide COVID-19 drive-thru testing for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 16, behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., by appointment.
