The City of Somers Point will host “Connection Thursdays: Get Plugged In” Contemporary Christian Concerts on the Beach Series every Thursday during the month of August, featuring contemporary and traditional performances by local church bands.
The concerts are scheduled to take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at William Morrow Beach on Bay Avenue and are free to attend. There will be limited snacks and beverages available for purchase at each concert.

2019 AtlantiCare Concerts on the Beach
Fridays through September 6
Somers Point continues its annual Somers Point Beach Concert Series until Friday, September 6 at William Morrow Beach on Bay Avenue. The concert series is free to attend every Friday at 7 p.m. during the summer, and is celebrating 27 years of great music and memories.
A special Labor Day Weekend concert is scheduled on Sunday, September 1. Attendees can look forward to performances by several award-winning international recording artists from a variety of different genres, including Country, Blues, Jazz and Classic Rock, among others.

Good Old Days Festival

The Annual Somers Point Good Old Days Festival will say farewell to summer in Somers Point from 11 – 6 p.m. Saturday, September 7 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park – an event which the City of Somers Point anticipates thousands will attend. There will be antique cars on display, children’s entertainment including carnival games, inflatables, a magician, pony rides, karate demonstrations, as well as K-9 demonstrations, over 20 vendors and community groups, food and treats including hot dogs and hamburgers fresh from the grill. Attendees will enjoy musical performances, on two different stages.

Richard Somers Day

The City of Somers Point and the Somers Point Historical Society will sponsor the annual Richard Somers Day on Sunday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at the Richard Somers Memorial Park, 801 Shore Road, Somers Point. Each year, a memorial remembrance is held for local Barbary War naval hero Richard Somers and the crew from the Intrepid. In case of rain, the memorial will be held in the Council Chambers of the Somers Point City Hall, 1 West New Jersey Avenue, Somers Point. Tours of Somers Mansion and the Somers Point Historical Museum are available preceding and after the program.

Somers Point Historical Society Mini-Trip

The Somers Point Historical Society will be hosting a mini-trip to local World War II sites on Saturday, September 28. The trip will take place via van, and will visit the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum and Fire Control Tower No. 23 in Cape May.
