Shore Medical Center will honor military veterans with a Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11.
The ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the hospital along Bay Avenue.
Guy Schlachter, a retired veteran who served 28 years in the U.S. Army and now works at Shore in the Receiving Department, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Michael Smith, a registered nurse from Shore’s Emergency Department, will perform on the bagpipes.
Shore Physicians Group’s Dr. Alexandra Buford, who serves in the Air Force Reserves one weekend each month as a physician at McGuire Air Force Base, will share her thoughts and reflections on Veterans Day.
This is an opportunity for the hospital staff and local community to come together to recognize the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all who have served in the armed forces.
