The Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center announces its annual Tree of Lights fundraiser and invites the community to join them in honoring or remembering loved ones during the holiday season.
With a donation of $10 (Silver Tribute), $20 (Gold Tribute), $50 (Platinum Tribute), or more, community members can have the name of their loved one inscribed in the Tree of Lights Book of Remembrance, a heartfelt tribute that will be prominently displayed in the hospital lobby next to the Tree of Lights throughout the holidays.
Each light on the tree represents an individual honored through Tree of Lights donations. To ensure your honoree is included in the Book of Remembrance, donations should be made by Dec. 1.
Donations can be made online at www.shoremedicalcenter.org/auxiliary under the “Tree of Lights” tab. Or, mail a check made payable to Shore Medical Center Auxiliary to the following address, making sure to include the name of the person being honored or remembered and the name and address of who should be notified of your gift:

Donors are also invited to attend a special ceremony on Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the hospital lobby to officially illuminate the Tree of Lights. The ceremony promises to be a festive occasion, complete with music, light refreshments, and a heartfelt recognition ceremony.
“We invite everyone to join us in illuminating the Tree of Lights and honoring or remembering their loved ones in a special way,” said Calla Waldron-Buck, co-chairperson of the Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center.
“It’s a beautiful tradition that not only brings warmth and joy to our hospital during the holiday season but also allows us to come together as a community to support Shore Medical Center,” added Geraldine Yollin, co-chairperson of the Auxiliary of Shore Medical Center.
All donors and their families are invited to attend the ceremony on Dec. 6, where their contributions will be acknowledged with gratitude. The Tree of Lights is a wonderful opportunity to remember loved ones, make a positive impact in the community and celebrate the spirit of giving during this festive season.
