Atlantic County Awards Grants, Announces Another Round of History Grants

The Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs announced that it has awarded the 2023 arts and history grants and is accepting a second round of grant applications for the 2023 County Historical Partnership Program, offered through the New Jersey Historical Commission.

In the first round, four non-profits were re-granted history funds totaling $12,816. They include:

  • Atlantic County Historical Society
  • Historical Society of Hammonton
  • Liberty and Prosperity, 1776, Inc.
  • SPQR Stage Company

Cultural and Heritage Affairs also awarded $212,316 in state competitive grants to 26 local non-profit organizations to provide access to quality art experiences that enhance the quality of life for county residents and visitors.

Twenty-three non-profits were re-granted arts funds totaling $199,500 through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. They include:

  • Art C South Jersey, Inc.
  • Atlantic City Arts Foundation
  • Atlantic Pops Community Band
  • Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation
  • Children’s Cultural Arts Foundation
  • Concerts on the Beach at Somers Point
  • Creative Multi Media
  • Cygnus Creative Arts Centre, Inc.
  • Eagle Theatre, Inc.
  • Fool Moon Theatre
  • Hammonton Arts Center
  • Historic Organ Restoration Committee
  • Jewish Community Center of Atlantic County
  • MainStreet Hammonton
  • Mighty Writers
  • MudGirls Studios
  • MZBC-Be Whole Community Development
  • Somers Point Arts Commission
  • South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble
  • South Jersey Jazz Society
  • South Jersey Players, Inc.
  • SPQR Stage Company
  • Township of Hamilton

Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for the second round history grants. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 24.
