Shore Physicians Group announced it will host a health education event titled, “What You Need to Know About Diabetes.”
The event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 20, at The Village at St. Peter’s, 21 W. Black Horse Pike, in Pleasantville.
Experts from Shore Physicians Group will share important information about diabetes management, treatments and new technology.
The presentations will be delivered in Spanish from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and in English from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. All presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
The first speaker will be Dr. Maria Cerna, who is a primary care doctor at Shore Physicians Group’s Northfield location. Dr. Cerna will discuss what diabetes is and how it affects the body.
The next two speakers, Diabetes Educator Nicholas Kundrat and Dietitian and Diabetes Educator Tiffany Rios, treat patients in Shore Physicians Group’s Endocrinology office in Somers Point.
They will discuss managing diabetes through technology, medications, nutrition, and lifestyle adjustments, showing how these can support a healthier life.
