With less than two weeks remaining until Election Day, Nov. 5, the Atlantic County Office of the Superintendent of Elections reminds voters they need not wait until Election Day to place their vote safely and securely during early voting in New Jersey.
“Seven early voting sites will open in Atlantic County this Saturday, October 26 and run through Sunday, November 3,” said Maureen Bugdon, Atlantic County Superintendent of Elections & Commissioner of Registration. “These sites will offer in-person machine voting for nine days in advance of the November 5 election. Weekday and Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
With anticipated increased turnout for this year’s Presidential Election, Bugdon and Deputy Superintendent Audrey Miles are urging voters to take advantage of the nine days of early voting in order to enjoy the same experience as Election Day, but at the convenience of their schedules.
“Obviously, countywide turnout for a presidential cycle is higher than all other elections,” Miles said. “Early voting offers the option of weekend and weekday voting and avoids the potential rush of General Election Day.”
Bugdon and Miles remind voters that no matter where they live in the county, they can vote their specific ballot at any of Atlantic’s seven designated in-person early voting locations, shown below and available online by visiting Vote.NJ.Gov.
