Galloway Township police along with several agencies are investigating a single-engine plane crash Wednesday.

The crash happened in the area of Leibig Street and Genoa Avenue, police said.

The pilot — who was alone onboard — was not injured.

He deployed the plane’s parachute system, which slowed the descent, police said.

He was flying a Cirrus, which is the only company to include a whole airframe parachute as standard equipment, according to the company’s website.

The plane landed in trees.
