About 110 riders rolled out Saturday morning from Stockton University’s Galloway campus for the 16th annual G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride.
The ride featured three distances – 12, 30 and 62 miles – on routes through the Pine Barrens near Stockton’s campus. It’s named after James, Stockton’s former dean of athletics and track and field coach and a 1968 Olympic gold medalist.
This year’s event raised roughly $25,000 for the G. Larry James Legacy Fund, which benefits deserving Stockton students. In the 16-year history of the bike ride, more than $320,000 has been raised for the fund.
