Atlantic County will showcase the creative abilities of county residents ages 60 and older at its 45th annual Senior Citizens Art Show.

The juried show will be exhibited from June 10 through July 31 at the Atlantic Cape Community College Art Gallery, Building D, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. A closing reception will be held on July 31 at 1 p.m.

“We’ve had the pleasure of providing this event for 45 years due in large part to the talents and interest among our senior residents,” County Executive Dennis Levinson said. “The artwork never fails to impress. Take the time to enjoy this exhibit; You won’t be disappointed.”

Professional and non-professional artists will compete in a variety of categories, including acrylic, craft, digital imagery, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, drawing/print, sculpture, and watercolor. Winning entries will advance to the state competition.

Entries will be accepted at the Atlantic Cape Community Art Gallery on May 28, 29 and 30, between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. All artwork must be properly labeled and ready to hang with standard wire. All pieces will remain on display for the full duration of the exhibit. Guidelines and artwork labels are available on the county website.

A prize of $100 will be presented to each first-place winner from the Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services. Award ribbons will be presented for first place through honorable mention as determined by the judges.
