For consistently delivering outstanding service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s mission, vision and values, Radiology Tech Aide Heather DiBella, of Ventnor, has been named Shore’s May Employee of the Month.
DiBella began her career at Shore in 2016, and worked in various roles including outpatient service representative, health unit coordinator, and registrar, before joining the Diagnostic Imaging Department in 2021.
As a radiology tech aide, DiBella’s primary role involves maintaining an efficient workflow in the radiology file room. Her responsibilities include coordinating communication between technologists, radiologists, and referring practitioners, as well as managing the transmission of images and reports to outside institutions and patients.
“Heather’s positive attitude and eagerness to learn have made a significant impact in our department. Her ability to integrate the knowledge gained from previous roles within Shore enhances our team’s capabilities tremendously. She can be counted on to step up and fill any role as needed, and when faced with a problem or challenge, Heather’s response is always, ‘What can I do to help?’” said Courtney Humphrey, Shore’s director of imaging.
Beyond her professional achievements, DiBella is an avid cyclist, and rides her bike to work most days, weather permitting. She also has a passion for baking and celebrating any occasion, from Christmas to Mardi Gras.
She is especially known for her impressive collection of ugly Christmas sweaters. DiBella’s enthusiasm and baking skills bring joy and many delicious treats to her colleagues, fostering a warm, inclusive atmosphere at work.
