About 35 kids participated in the introductory session held March 13 at the Atlantic County Park in Estell Manor for the new Jr. Ranger Program.

The program is free and provides opportunities to explore the county’s parks system and participate in activities and discussions with park rangers and staff.

It also provides parents and guardians with a way to entice their kids, ages 3 and older, away from their screens and into the outdoors for fresh air and activity.

Those who complete the program will earn a Junior Ranger badge and certificate.
