The Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes Dr. Gary Chapman to speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional and 10:30 a.m. contemporary services on Sunday, July 23.
Dr. Chapman has degrees from some of the most respected colleges and seminaries. He’s written some of the best-selling books of the past decade and appeared on thousands of radio and television programs across the country.
But he also knows more than just a lot of scholarly theories and practical advice – he knows people. He knows how to relate to people, how to have fun, and how to make people laugh.
A well-known marriage counselor and director of marriage seminars, Dr. Chapman hosts a nationally syndicated radio program, A Love Language Minute, and a Saturday morning program, Building Relationships with Dr. Gary Chapman, that air on more than 400 stations.
“The 5 Love Languages,” one of Chapman’s most popular titles, topped bestseller charts for years. It has been published in 50 languages, sold more than 10 million copies and is currently on the New York Times bestseller list.
Also returning to the Tabernacle on July 23 will be vocal group Veritas, bringing their “classical crossover” style and a broad repertoire of songs from opera to pop and musical theater to traditional hymns.
The free concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for first-come, first-served seating and a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m.
The Ocean City Tabernacle also hosts Boardwalk Worship at the Music Pier on Sundays at 8 a.m., with music by Jane Zigner and a message by Rev. Terry Lothian.
