Mambo Magic will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at William Morrow Beach on Bay Avenue in Somers Point as part of the city’s Concert Series.
Percussionist Edgardo Cintron is a second-generation Puerto Rican and a second-generation musician. Known as much for his affable personality and generous spirit as for his tasty musicianship, Contron has created his new band Mambo Magic in 2023, featuring the music of the great Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Eddie Palmieri, Spyra Gyra and more.
Mambo Magic, features top musicians in the area, Don Collins on trombone, John Katz on tenor sax, Bob Ferguson on trumpet, Alex Figueroa, Hector Rios Congas and Freddy Martin on piano, Bobby Cabanas on bass, and lead vocalist Cuquito de la Salsa, directly from Puerto Rico.
