Anyone interested in learning about career opportunities within the ranks of the Atlantic County Correctional Police is encouraged to attend a Recruitment Orientation.
The event will be held on Monday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, 5060 Atlantic Avenue, Mays Landing, according to a county news release.
Correctional Police Officers can exercise full police powers and act as peace officers in the detection, apprehension, arrest and conviction of law offenders. Successful candidates will participate in a paid police academy training program and receive on-the-job training.
Benefits include holiday and longevity pay, uniform allowance, medical and dental plan and N.J. state pension.
Casual business attire is recommended.
