Somers Point Police Warn of Burglaries and Thefts

The Somers Point Police Department has recently handled multiple calls for service regarding burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles and at other places, according to police.

These incidents primarily occurred during the overnight hours to vehicles, sheds, and garages that are unlocked.

Police Chief Robert Somers urges all residents to remain vigilant and secure their property.

If you have security footage from the last week that may provide investigative leads, contact Detective Colin McGuigan or email the footage to cmcguigan@somerspointpd.org

And also note the date and time of the footage, as well as the address where it was obtained from in your email, police said.

If you observe activity you believe is suspicious or out of the ordinary, contact the 24-hour police dispatch center directly at 609-927-6161 so an officer can be sent out to investigate.
