Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has adopted 10 families through The Arc of Atlantic County’s Holiday Partners program.
Hard Rock’s team of “elves” were given names of individuals and families who receive services through The Arc of Atlantic County, according to a news release.
They carefully shopped for and selected gifts for each family member. Wrapped gifts were picked up by The Arc and loaded onto their truck on Thursday, Dec. 15.
“We are humbled to partner with The Arc of Atlantic County to help local residents enjoy the holidays,” Hard Rock Senior Vice President of Operations Michael Sampson said. “None of this would be possible without the generosity of our team members.”
The Arc of Atlantic County’s Annual Holiday Partners Program seeks the help of businesses and community members each year to make the holidays a little brighter by providing holiday meals and gifts for more than 150 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families living in Atlantic County.
Holiday Partners provide meals, gifts and monetary assistance to individuals and families who would otherwise go without.
“We are grateful for this partnership, and for those volunteers who work so hard to make the holidays a little brighter for people who live with an intellectual or developmental disability,” Arc Director of Clinical Services Rebecca Reed said.
Donations for Holiday Partners are being accepted through Dec. 23.
