Shore Physicians Group (SPG) announced that its next “Be Well Connected” free community education event is on the topic “Diabetes 101: Management & Prevention.”
The event will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at Josie Kelly’s Public House in Somers Point.

Three clinicians from SPG’s Endocrinology Division will present at the event: Endocrinologist Dr. Matthew Corcoran, will speak about the effects that diabetes has on the body and differences between type I and type II diabetes; Taylor Donovan, a nurse and diabetes care specialist, will discuss technologies available to aid in diabetes management; and Tiffany Rios, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, will discuss the role nutrition plays in diabetes prevention and management.
