Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson and the Atlantic County Criminal Justice Advisory Board invite school officials to attend a presentation and discussion of the use of armed K-9 officers and dogs to enhance school security and protect people in school from harm.
“There are many issues that currently divide our country, but most of us can agree that something needs to be done to provide a safe environment in which our children can learn, socialize and develop,” Levinson said in a news release. “Children, parents and teachers deserve safe schools without the fear of violence.”
The presentation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Atlantic County Criminal Court Complex, 4997 Unami Boulevard, Mays Landing. Those interested in attending may respond by Aug. 18 to jason.wertzberger@njcourts.gov.
