The Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes author and pastor D. A. Horton to speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional and 10:30 a.m. contemporary services on Sunday, Aug. 7.

Horton is director of the Intercultural Studies program at California Baptist University and associate teaching pastor at The Grove Community Church.

Horton has also been an urban church planter and Christian rap artist, sharing the gospel in multi-cultural settings around the country.

Also making their first appearance at the Tabernacle on Aug. 7 will be the three-time Grammy nominated, American Music Award winning vocal foursome Avalon.

With 22 No. 1 Songs such as “Can’t Live A Day” and “Testify To Love,” and millions of albums sold, their desire is to deliver a message of hope and love offered from Jesus Christ and declare their devotion to Him through the words of every song they sing, according to a Tabernacle news release.

Avalon’s free concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for first-come, first-served seating and a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m.
