For consistently delivering outstanding patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Regulatory and Medical Staff Coordinator Nikki Corchiani of North Cape May has been named the medical center’s June 2022 Employee of the Month.
Corchiani has been with Shore since 2001, but joined the Quality, Infection Prevention and Medical Staff departments in February 2020 just before COVID-19 became a global pandemic. She quickly adapted and understood the importance of working in Quality and Infection Prevention during a pandemic.
“Nikki’s work ethic is exceptional,” said Dr. Jeanne Rowe at a presentation earlier this month recognizing Corchiani. “She quickly adapts to shifting priorities and does whatever she can to help. Nikki is key at balancing each department’s needs, especially during stressful situations. She is true to our mission, vision and values at Shore.”
Administrative Director of Quality, Regulatory and Medical Staff Services Valerie DeJoseph, said, “One of the things that stands out to me is how quickly she learned and adapted to the policy system we use. It is very important for hospitals to have an organized policy and procedure process in place to maintain a patient-safe organization.”
DeJoseph added, “She takes pride in the system and makes sure every person who touches the system is coached and thoroughly understands how to use it. They can ask her questions over and over and Nikki never gets frazzled.”
