The Green Thumb Garden Club of Somers Point is sponsoring a Somers Point Citywide Garden Contest.
It’s free to enter. Registration forms will be available at Somers Point City Hall and are due back on July 7.
Judging is the week of July 12. Categories include flower gardens, vegetable gardens, containers or window boxes, Junior gardens, Commercial or Business, and Members Only.
The club has continued to work on community beautification projects, including kitchen gardens behind the Somers Mansion, the Butterfly Garden at JFK Park and the Somers Point Library.
