Residents and visitors looking for accessible beaches in Atlantic County will have an easier time finding them with the aid of the new Accessible Beach Guide created by Atlantic County in cooperation with its Disability Advisory Board.

The guide includes information about accessible beaches in Atlantic City, Brigantine, Hamilton Township, Longport, Margate, Somers Point and Ventnor, as well as locations of surf chairs, accessible restrooms and parking and beach fees.

The volunteer members of the Disability Advisory Board identified a need for the guide and worked with the county’s Office of Disability Services to gather the information, Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said in a news release.

“We’re grateful for the input from our volunteer board members,” he said. “This should be yet another valuable resource that will enable greater enjoyment of our beautiful beaches and recreation opportunities.”

The guide is available online at www.aclink.org/disability as well as on most of the websites of the seven towns included in the brochure. Hard copies are also available by request.
