Diabetes Training Camp Foundation is offering an exciting virtual programming event created for people living with type 2 diabetes or at risk for type 2 diabetes.
A virtual, one day Diabetes Training Camp, called DTC2 Mini V Camp, will be held on Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The camp via Zoom will feature educational and fitness sessions by Dr. Matthew Corcoran and his team of diabetes experts. Community building and nutrition will also be topics for discussion. Dr. Corcoran, the training camp’s founder, is an endocrinologist who specializes in diabetes and exercise.
Other faculty will include a mental skills coach, exercise physiologist, registered dietician, certified diabetes educators and fitness professionals.

People will gain a framework to assess their current fitness level and the educators will work with them to create a sustainable exercise and activity plan.
In addition, there will also be a discussion of the interaction of medications with exercise people will learn about key nutrition concepts to enable them to reach their goals.
