Shore Medical Center recognized respiratory therapist Harry Yue as its January 2019 Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients.
The Guardian Angel Program was established to enable members of the community to say thank you to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center.
Yue has worked at Shore since 1999 in various positions, including dietary services, as a patient transporter and an emergency department technician. In 2013, he enrolled in Independence University’s respiratory therapy program and completed his certification in 2015, all while working full time.
Upon graduation, he joined the night shift respiratory team. He has credentials in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation.
Sylvia Buzzi, director of respiratory care services at Shore, says Yue is a very conscientious therapist who is very loyal and reliable to the organization.
“Harry is very compassionate and caring, and provides excellent service to our patients,” Buzzi says. “Recently, the family of a patient who Yue assisted made a Grateful Patient donation in his honor, saying ‘Harry is our earth angel! The compassionate support he showed us during our most difficult time is unforgettable. He truly was our Guardian Angel in our time of need. Harry is a rare soul and his dedication to his patients is beyond measure.’”
Yue resides in Egg Harbor Township and loves the outdoors. He is an avid snowboarder, skateboarder and surfer.
The Guardian Angel program recognizes anyone who works at Shore Medical Center and makes an impact and difference in someone’s care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and are presented with a special Guardian Angel pin at Shore Medical Center’s annual pinning ceremony.
