In 2019 the New Jersey State Chiefs of Police Association will be getting a new president. The new President will be none other than the Middle Township Chief of Police Christopher Leusner. The New Jersey Chiefs of Police Association believes in their members and strives to help each one achieve their full potential in their career.

Overseeing this organization is no small task and “We are proud of him, we are honored by what he’s doing. He’s going to be doing many great things in the future,” says New Jersey Senator Jeff Van Drew.

Jeff Van Drew expresses his congratulations to Chief Christopher Leusner on attaining such a prestigious position.

When Leusner won, Freeholder Sea Isle City Mayor Leonard Desiderio and the Cape May County Chiefs of Police started quick talks of holding a little party in honor of Chief Leusner.

Sea Isle City Mayor and Freeholder Leonard Desiderio congratulates Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner on his achievement.

“We threw this together in a short amount of time and it was a huge success. We had over 400 people inside at one time.” Said Desiderio. “Chief DePaul and I put together this little event to not only honor Chief Leusner, but to help him raise funds to represent South Jersey in the right way, and have a great swearing in.”

After honoring Chief Chris Leusner, the crown danced to live entertainment inside Kix McNutley’s in Sea Isle City.

“Thank you. I am so humbled by all of the support that I have seen from the community,” acknowledged Leusner very appreciatively. “This position is very well respected in the state and Cape May County isn’t always looked upon with the same respect, so it was an uphill battle but we won.” Dancing and entertainment continued through the remainder of the event and everyone left with a huge smile on their face.
