Shore Medical Center and Penn Medicine Celebrate American Heart Month with “Love Your Heart”, a Free Community Education Breakfast Feb. 21

Since 2012, Penn Medicine and Shore Medical Center have been working together to provide world class cardiac care at the Jersey shore. On Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 10 am to noon, medical experts from both organizations will join together to present “Love Your Heart: A Free Community Education Breakfast” at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. Guests will learn about the cardiac care made available in our community through the relationship between Penn Cardiology and Shore Medical Center, while learning from medical experts on how they can better care for their heart.

The event program includes the following presentations:

  • “Cardiac Care and Prevention” presented by Millee Singh, DO, FACC, of Penn Cardiology Somers Point
  • “Keeping Your Heart Healthy Through Exercise and Fitness” presented by Chris Kozmor, RN, MEd, director of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at Shore’s Center for Outpatient Rehabilitation
  • “Facts About Smoking and Cessation” presented by Joseph Johnston, director of oncology services at Shore Cancer Center
  • “Tips for a Heart Healthy Diet” presented by Saba Zahid, RD, LDN, patient experience manager, food and nutrition services at Shore Medical Center
