Telemetry nurse Manny Pagay, RN, of Egg Harbor Township, was named Shore Medical Center’s September 2017 Guardian Angel of the Month.

Shore Medical Center is proud to recognize telemetry nurse Manolito “Manny” Pagay, RN, as its September Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients. The Guardian Angel program was established to enable members of the community to say thank you to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center.

Pagay came to Shore Medical Center in 2004 as a nurse in the dialysis unit, and transitioned to the telemetry unit in 2011. Luanne McGroarty, BSN RN-BC, ICU, telemetry nurse manager, says Pagay is a skilled nurse who has the unique ability to make his patients and their families feel like they are a part of his family while they are under his care.

“Manny is positive, jovial, respectful and a tremendous patient advocate. He is an absolute pleasure to work with and we are fortunate to have him as part of the Shore Medical Center team,” says McGroarty.

A patient who Pagay cared for recently recognized him for his exceptional care through the Guardian Angel program.

“Manny was so attentive to all of my needs and he did a wonderful job alleviating my fears and concerns,” the patient said.

A resident of Egg Harbor Township, Pagay is married with two teenage sons. In his spare time he loves to travel and barbecue.
