It will be a busy weekend as many people start to begin their early season visit to the shore. Fortunately, Mother Nature is supplying us with a mainly sunny and warm holiday weekend.

On Saturday, plenty of sunshine with southwesterly winds which will push warm air over our area. Daytime temperatures should reach 60 degrees.

The big event this weekend will be the Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Isle on Saturday. This year it will be more of a Brisk Plunge as water temperatures are running several degrees above normal. By the time the plunge begins at 2pm, Air temperatures near the surf will be in the 50s with water temperatures around 40 degrees.

Clouds will increase late in the day on Saturday as a weak disturbance moves through. This would be our only chance of seeing a passing shower, otherwise the weekend will be dry.

Sunday will start cloudy but sunshine will return as a cold front approaches. Out ahead of it, temperatures will surge into the low 60s as winds begin to turn more westerly.
