Love was in the air…as were the aromas of great food.

Despite Valentine’s Day falling on a weekday this year, local restaurateurs saw excellent crowds and they served up fabulous meals and atmosphere in the spirit of love and romance.

At Bay Avenue’s Buono Vita, we met up with Michael and Christine Castellani, married 34 years, enjoying a great meal.

Meanwhile, Rick and Lorene Dekarski were engaged in animated conversation and raved about the food. Rick called for the chef to personally thank him for the great meal and Chef Paul Drew cheerfully accepted the accolades.

Rick and Lorene Dekarski were the life of the party as the evening grew late. Rick is the owner of Richard Piano Studio and he proved it by entertaining everyone.

Then Dekarski, a well-known area music teacher, sat at the piano and produced beautiful Valentine’s Day music.

All in all, a great end to a perfectly romantic holiday.
