Shore Medical Center is proud to recognize Alyson Cohen, BSN, RN, of its Telemetry unit as its January 2017 Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients. The Guardian Angel Program was established to enable members of the community to say thank you to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center.
Cohen, of Absecon, joined the Shore team in 2013. Her colleagues say Cohen is kind, thoughtful and a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her patients are well cared for.
Luanne McGroarty, BSN, RN-BC, Nurse Manager of the ICU and Telemetry units, says Cohen is a pleasure to work with.
“Patient feedback about Alyson is always positive. Shore is lucky to have her as part of the organization,” McGroarty said.
A family member of a patient Cohen treated recently praised her for her exceptional care.
“Alyson was an angel of comfort during my mother’s recent hospital stay. My mother and I had fear of the unknown. Alyson graciously explained everything in detail, putting us at ease,” the family member said.
Cohen resides in Absecon with her husband and daughter, Zoey. The Guardian Angel program recognizes anyone who works at Shore Medical Center and makes an impact and difference in your care. Guardian Angels are recognized amongst their peers and are presented with a special Guardian Angel pin at Shore Medical Center’s annual pinning ceremony.
