For consistently delivering outstanding patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Clinical Educator Quinn Guariglia, RN, BSN, has been named the medical center’s December 2016 Employee of the Month.
Guariglia joined the Shore Medical Center family in 1999 as a nurse in the ICU, where she spent seven years until moving to the obstetrics unit. In 2014, she became the clinical educator for the medical telemetry unit.
Telemetry Clinical Supervisor Bella Fardzinova says Guariglia has a natural ability to work in harmony with others and brings a warm, cheerful and pleasant attitude that enhances the positive environment of the unit.
“Quinn loves people, works hard, and always tries to lift the spirits of those around her,” said Fardzinova. “Her willingness to take on difficult projects and see them to successful completion impresses us over and over again. She has been an effective educator in every way and wants the unit to be successful and strong academically and clinically.”
Guariglia is humbled by the recognition, and grateful for the opportunities she has every day to make an impact on the nurses at Shore.
“My role as clinical educator has allowed me to meet and interact with so many new and wonderful people,” Guariglia says. “I truly love being a part of the education team and supporting nurses in their professional growth and development.”
Guariglia lives in Tuckahoe with her husband Paul, and together they have two grown sons, Joseph and Parker. She is currently enrolled in Drexel University’s online nurse practitioner program and is scheduled to graduate in 2018. In her spare time, Guariglia enjoys baking cupcakes, gardening and being a mom – both to her human children and dog children alike.
