It’s finally here! The start of the summer season! And as usual weather in late May can be quite fickle. Unsettled weather will continue into the Memorial Day weekend. Although it may not be 100% dry, any showers we receive should not dampen any outdoor plans. So expect a decent weekend, but if you were hoping for it to be a sunny, warm and rain free each day, you will be disappointed.

Friday will be the warmest day of the holiday weekend as a breezy, dry westerly wind will negate any seabreeze from forming. Highs will climb into the mid 70s.

Forecast Highs For Friday

A weak trough could trigger a few brief spotty showers late in the day.

High pressure briefly builds in on Saturday which will keep us mostly sunny and dry during the day. Temperatures could reach 70 before winds will shift southerly during the afternoon which will drop temperatures back into the 60s. A frontal system will approach from the south late Saturday bringing more clouds and the chance of some showers.

Sunday will be the coolest and cloudiest day as the frontal system to our south moves northward. The threat of more showers are possible late in the day on Sunday, but still not expected to be a washout. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid 60s with a cool onshore breeze.

For Memorial Day, another front is expected to move through with yet another threat of showers. Sun will mix with clouds during the day with highs reaching the low 70s.
